October 11, 2024: The much-anticipated trailer for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan, has been released to an overwhelming response from fans. Amidst the buzz, rumours circulated that Akshay Kumar, the lead from the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa, would make a cameo in the upcoming horror-comedy. However, Akshay has officially put the speculation to rest, calling the reports “fake news.”
When asked directly about the cameo rumours, Akshay clarified, “No, absolutely not. It’s fake news.” The actor, who played a pivotal role in the first instalment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, will not be part of the third film. Akshay was recently seen making a special appearance in Stree 2, joining Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, teasing a potential crossover in Dinesh Vijan’s expanding horror-comedy universe.

On the topic of horror-comedies, Akshay took to social media on his birthday to announce his next project, Bhooth Bangla. I’m beyond excited to join forces with Priyadarshan again after 14 years. This dream collaboration has been a long time coming… can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you all. Stay tuned for the magic!” The quirky poster shows Akshay drinking milk with a black cat perched on his shoulder, hinting at a spooky, humorous tone.
Details about Bhooth Bangla remain under wraps, but it’s rumored to involve black magic, and Akshay is said to be working with three leading ladies. Reports suggest the film will start shooting by the end of this year, with production continuing into the first half of 2025.
As for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the trailer blends suspense, comedy, and nostalgia. A major surprise comes in the form of Madhuri Dixit, who appears alongside Vidya Balan in a thrilling climax. Vidya reprises her iconic role as the vengeful Manjulika, this time even more furious after being dethroned. Kartik Aaryan once again steps into the role of the charming ghostbuster Rooh Baba, whose witty antics keep the chaos alive.
