Jasprit Bumrah Registers His Name In Legends List ,Becomes 10th Indian Bowler To Reach 400 International Wickets

Jasprit Bumrah has reached another historic milestone by becoming the 10th Indian bowler to claim 400 international wickets.

He achieved this feat during the first Test against Bangladesh in Chennai, where his superb bowling spell of 4/50 in 11 overs played a key role in dismantling the Bangladesh batting lineup.

Bumrah claimed the wickets of Shadman Islam, Mushfiqur Rahim, Hasan Mahmud, and Taskin Ahmed, further establishing his dominance as India’s premier pace bowler.

Here’s a breakdown of Bumrah’s incredible international career stats so far:

  • Tests: 37 matches, 163 wickets, average of 20.49, best figures of 6/27, with 10 five-wicket hauls.
  • ODIs: 89 matches, 149 wickets, average of 23.55, best figures of 6/19, with two five-wicket hauls.
  • T20Is: 70 matches, 89 wickets, average of 17.74, best figures of 3/7.

Bumrah has now amassed 401 wickets across 196 international matches at an exceptional average of 21.01, with his best bowling figures of 6/19 coming in ODIs. He is also only the sixth Indian pacer to achieve this milestone.

Bangladesh’s batting faltered against India’s disciplined bowling, with Bumrah leading the attack. Despite some resistance from Shakib Al Hasan (32) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (27*), Bangladesh found themselves on the back foot due to a collective bowling effort from Bumrah, Akash Deep (2/19), Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja.

India’s strong all-round performance has placed them in a commanding position in this Test match.
