The much-awaited horror-comedy film ‘Kakuda,’ starring Sonakshi Sinha, Riteish Deshmukh, and Saqib Saleem, is set to release on July 12. The announcement was made alongside the reveal of the film’s first-look poster.
Director Aditya Sarpotdar shared the poster and release date on his Instagram handle. The poster features the lead trio, with a caption that reads, “Purushon Ke Hit Mein Jaari..- #Kakuda aa raha hai ’12 July’ ko, toh ghar pe rahein aur theek 7:15 baje, darwaza khula rakhna naa bhoolein.”
Film Synopsis
Set in the village of Ratodi in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district, ‘Kakuda’ tells the story of a village cursed for years. Each house in Ratodi has two doors: a normal-sized one and a smaller one. Every Tuesday at 7:15 PM, villagers must open the smaller door or face the wrath of Kakuda, who punishes the men of the house. The film explores the origins of Kakuda’s curse and the villagers’ attempts to lift it.
