Kareena Kapoor Khan Unveils Mysterious New Poster for ‘The Buckingham Murders’

The excitement surrounding The Buckingham Murders has reached a fever pitch with the release of its latest poster. Featuring Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan, this suspense thriller promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

In celebration of Raksha Bandhan, Kareena shared a new poster, teasing fans with a glimpse of what’s to come. The image depicts Kareena’s character, Jasmeet Bhamra, wandering through an empty neighborhood, with her back turned towards the camera, evoking an atmosphere of mystery and tension.

Accompanying the poster, Kareena captioned the post with, “See you tomorrow,” indicating that the teaser for the film will be released on August 20.

The Buckingham Murders is written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker, and is produced by Balaji Telefilms and TBM Films. The film marks Kareena’s debut as a producer, and she collaborates with Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor on this project.

As per Variety, the film follows the story of detective Jasmeet Bhamra (played by Kareena), who, after the tragic loss of her child, is thrust into the investigation of a 10-year-old’s murder in Buckinghamshire. The case unravels a web of secrets in the small town, where almost everyone becomes a suspect.

In a previous interview with Variety, Kareena revealed that her character is inspired by Kate Winslet’s role in Mare of Easttown, saying, “I love Mare of Easttown and when Hansal came to me, I said this is something that I’ve really been dying to do. So we’ve molded a little bit on those lines; she plays a detective cop in that.”

The Buckingham Murders is slated to release in cinemas on September 13, 2024. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen, alongside Kareena.

In addition to this project, Kareena is also set to star in Meghna Gulzar’s Daayra and Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated Singham Again.
