The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), two-time champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL), secured their narrowest victory in the history of the tournament by edging out Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 1 run at the iconic Eden Gardens on Sunday.
This surpasses KKR’s previous close wins: a 2-run victory against RCB during the 2014 IPL in Sharjah, and another 2-run win over Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 2020 season in Abu Dhabi, which are now ranked second and third, respectively, for the team’s narrowest wins. Additionally, KKR’s fourth closest win was against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2024 IPL season.
