November 21, 2024: The 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is shaping up to be one for the history books, with the announcement of three major headliners: Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone. The iconic festival, held in Indio, California, will take place across two weekends in April—April 11–13 and April 18–20—and promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music, art, and creativity.
After a standout performance in 2017 where she famously replaced Beyoncé, Lady Gaga is making her highly anticipated return to Coachella.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, she expressed her excitement about finally having the chance to “do it right” this time, sharing a vision of a “massive night of chaos in the desert” that she’s long dreamed of. She wrote, “I have been wanting to go back and to do it right, and I am. I’m headlining and starting the weekend off at Coachella.”
Gaga’s Friday performances (April 11 and 18) will kick off the festival, and fans can expect a show that mixes her dramatic flair with her extensive catalog of pop anthems. Alongside Gaga, notable performers include Missy Elliott, FKA Twigs, Lisa, Glorilla, The Go-Go’s, and Three 6 Mafia.
On Saturday, April 12 and 19, Green Day will take the stage, bringing their punk rock anthems to Coachella. Known for their fast-paced, politically charged performances, fans can expect to hear hits like “American Idiot” and “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” as well as newer material from their recent releases. Other performers on Saturday include Charli XCX, Misfits, Anitta, T-Pain, and LA Philharmonic, ensuring a diverse and exciting range of musical styles.
To close out the weekend, Post Malone will headline on Sunday, April 13 and 20. Known for his genre-blending style that mixes rap, rock, and pop, Post Malone’s performance will likely feature crowd favorites like “Circles” and “Rockstar.” His set will be joined by performances from Megan Thee Stallion, Zedd, Jennie, Ty Dolla $ign, and more, offering a blend of hip-hop, electronic, and pop sounds.
Adding even more excitement to the 2025 edition, Travis Scott is contributing a unique design to the festival, with Coachella teasing that he will be “designing the desert.” The rapper and producer’s involvement marks a fresh chapter in the festival’s visual identity, promising something special for festival-goers. As Scott posted on Instagram, this will be “NEW COACHELLA BY LA FLAME AND CACTUS JACK,” making it the “first of its kind.”
With these powerhouse headliners and an exciting array of supporting acts, the 2025 Coachella Festival is shaping up to be a multi-genre celebration that will appeal to fans of pop, rock, rap, and everything in between. From Lady Gaga’s theatrical return to Green Day’s punk rock legacy, and Post Malone’s genre-bending hits, Coachella 2025 will undoubtedly be a must-attend event for music lovers around the world.
Tickets are sure to sell out quickly, so fans will want to keep their eyes peeled for more details as the festival date approaches!
