Lady Gaga has officially announced that the first single from her highly anticipated seventh studio album will be released this October.
The news came via an Instagram post where Gaga shared her schedule leading up to the premiere of “Joker: Folie à Deux” at the Venice Film Festival. In the post, she highlighted “XX October: LG7 first single,” hinting at the upcoming launch and suggesting that the full album could drop later this year or early in 2025.
This single follows her recent surprise collaboration with Bruno Mars on the track “Die With a Smile,” though it’s been confirmed that this song will not be included on the new album. Gaga shared that the collaboration with Mars came about spontaneously while she was finishing her album in Malibu, showcasing her ongoing creative energy.
Although specific details about the album remain under wraps, Gaga has been actively teasing her work in the studio on social media. There are also indications that Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt, known for his work with legendary artists like the Rolling Stones and Elton John, might be involved in the project. Additionally, a photo from last year showed Gaga in the studio with her longtime collaborator Bloodpop and vocal producer Benjamin Rice, hinting at a continuation of her creative partnerships.
During the premiere of the Chromatica Ball Film, Gaga expressed her enthusiasm for the new album, describing it as distinct from anything she’s done before. She shared, “I have written so many songs and I have produced so many songs,” emphasizing the unique nature of this project and the excitement she feels about its release.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the first taste of LG7 in October, with more details about the album expected to be revealed soon.
