During her recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Lady Gaga shared the touching story of her engagement to Michael Polansky.
She revealed that Polansky proposed shortly after her birthday, surprising her during a rock climbing trip they had planned together.
Gaga humorously recounted her anticipation, thinking Polansky would propose on her birthday, but he saved the surprise for later. While climbing, Polansky sweetly asked her permission to propose before actually doing so, to which Gaga enthusiastically responded, “Yes, it’s so OK!”
Polansky didn’t propose at the top of the climb but had the ring safely in his backpack. Although he didn’t get down on one knee, Gaga expressed her happiness with how the proposal unfolded, calling it “very Michael.”
As for wedding plans, Gaga joked about a simple courthouse ceremony followed by ordering Chinese food, but hinted that her personality might lead to something more extravagant, even suggesting it could turn into “a circus with unicorns.”
The couple has been together since 2020, first publicly debuting their relationship at the Super Bowl in Miami.
