Lalchand Rajput Applauds Rahul Dravid’s Coaching After T20 WC Triumph

Former India head coach Lalchand Rajput shared his thoughts on Rahul Dravid’s coaching tenure following India’s thrilling seven-run victory over South Africa in the ICC T20 World Cup final.

The win, secured by remarkable performances from Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, and Axar Patel, marked India’s second ICC T20 World Cup title and ended an 11-year ICC trophy drought.

In a statement, Rajput highlighted Dravid’s quiet yet effective coaching style, often referred to as the “Wall of Cricket.” He remarked, “All of us know that Rahul Dravid’s coaching is very silent and correct. We call him the Wall of Cricket… When one wins the World Cup, any person jumps up with joy. He danced yesterday and showed that he has another side also.”

India’s win was historic not just for ending the trophy drought but also for being the first team to capture the T20 World Cup title undefeated. Meanwhile, the South African team, despite their valiant efforts, remains in search of their first ICC title.
