May 17, 2025: As the JEE Advanced 2025 approaches, candidates across India are gearing up for the highly competitive entrance exam to the IITs. The exam is scheduled for Sunday, May 18, and will be conducted by IIT Kanpur this year.

Exam Schedule
- Paper 1: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Paper 2: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
- Gate Opening Time: 7:00 AM (strictly advised to reach early)
Mandatory Items To Carry
- Admit Card (downloadable from jeeadv.ac.in)
- Original Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar card, Passport, School/College ID, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, or notarised certificate with photograph)
- Pens and pencils
- Transparent water bottle
Dress Code Guidelines
- Wear simple clothing
- Avoid jewellery, religious threads, or taweez
- Clothes with big buttons should be avoided
- Footwear: Slippers or sandals only — No shoes
Prohibited Items
- Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices
- Calculators, log tables, written material
- Wallets, handbags, cameras, goggles
- Pencil boxes, scales, writing pads, etc.

Important Note
- Appearing in both papers is mandatory
- The exam includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
- Some sections include negative marking
For PwD Candidates
- May 17 is the last date to request a scribe, if eligible
