Kylie Minogue cancels Berlin, Poland, Lithuania, and Estonia dates on her ‘Tension’ World Tour after falling ill with laryngitis, vowing to reschedule as fans rally with support.
Pop icon Kylie Minogue has been forced to postpone four upcoming European concerts on her Tension Tour after being diagnosed with laryngitis, a viral infection affecting the vocal cords. The Australian superstar, who recently wrapped the UK leg of her first global tour in seven years, shared the news with fans on Friday via X (formerly Twitter), apologizing and promising efforts are underway to reschedule the canceled performances.
Minogue was due to perform in Berlin on Monday, followed by shows in Łódź (Poland), Kaunas (Lithuania), and Tallinn (Estonia). In her heartfelt message, she wrote:
“Hi Lovers, as some of you may know, a week ago we finished the UK leg of the Tension Tour. I made it over the finish line (yay) but unfortunately have succumbed to a viral infection (Hello laryngitis).”
She added:
“I’ve tried my best to recover fast to start our next run on Monday but I’m afraid it will take me some days to be well enough to get back on stage and perform the best for you. I’m so, SO sorry! I have no choice but to postpone the shows… Please keep hold of your tickets—we’re doing our very best to reschedule the dates and will update you very soon on that.”
“Thank you for understanding – you know I love you all. And I LOVE THIS SHOW! And I’ll miss you next week, and I can’t wait to see you all.” – Kylie xx
The 55-year-old singer’s Tension Tour is her 16th major tour and follows the enormous success of her 2023 hit single “Padam Padam”, which became a global sensation and reignited her popularity in the U.S., where she also held a Las Vegas residency.
According to The Sun, Minogue has already performed 14 UK concerts, including four sold-out nights at London’s O2 Arena. Her shows have drawn massive crowds, celebrating both her new material and decades-long catalog of hits.
What’s Next for Kylie?
Following the postponed European shows, Minogue is expected to continue her tour later in South America and Mexico, provided her recovery progresses smoothly. Fans across social media have been sending messages of love and support, wishing the singer a full and speedy recovery.
While no rescheduled dates have yet been announced, ticket-holders are being advised to retain their tickets for future updates.
Kylie Minogue’s Tension Tour marks a major return to international touring after a seven-year break, and despite this brief health setback, fans remain hopeful that she’ll soon be back on stage—vibrant as ever.
