Kate Middleton and Prince William released an adorable new photo of their youngest son to mark his seventh birthday, and fans can’t get enough of his grown-up charm.

Prince Louis is officially 7 — and flashing a charming gap-toothed grin in his new birthday portrait that’s melting hearts across the globe.

Prince William and Kate Middleton shared the sweet snap of their youngest child on Wednesday via their official social media, along with the caption:
“Wishing Prince Louis a very Happy 7th Birthday! 🎂”
The photo, taken by photographer Josh Shinner, shows Louis perched on a rock outdoors, smiling wide while wearing a navy sweater over a button-down shirt and jeans. Notably, his top two front teeth are missing — a relatable moment that has fans calling him a “big boy” in the Instagram comments.
A Royal Tradition of Birthday Portraits
While the Princess of Wales, 43, typically takes birthday photos of her children, this year’s portrait was captured by Shinner. However, the setting — an outdoor scene with Louis seated on a rock — is reminiscent of a similar photo taken by Kate to mark his first birthday in 2019.

Louis, born in April 2018, is the youngest of the royal couple’s three children, joining Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 9.

Over the years, Prince Louis has become a fan-favorite for his public antics — from making silly faces at royal engagements to dancing during Trooping the Colour and yawning during King Charles III’s coronation.

That year, Middleton was undergoing cancer treatment and later shared that she had completed chemotherapy and entered remission.
“It is a relief,” the Princess wrote in a statement in January, expressing gratitude and focusing on continued recovery.
