After hearing that Donald Trump had won the election, the iconic singer took to Instagram to share a colorful “f-k Trump” cake she indulged in as a way of coping. The cake, decorated in vibrant shades of orange, yellow, and brown buttercream, topped with cherries, was clearly a statement of frustration. Madonna humorously captioned the image, “Stuffed my face with this cake last night!” as she shared her attempt to process the news.

The cake was more than just a sweet treat; it was part of Madonna’s emotional response to the election outcome. In another post, she voiced her disbelief and frustration over Trump’s victory, writing: “Trying to get my head around why a convicted felon, rapist, bigot was chosen to lead our country because he’s good for the economy?” Alongside this message, she posted a selfie that captured her emotional reaction to the election results, reflecting her shock and dismay.

Madonna had been a vocal supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 campaign, sharing her endorsement on social media and encouraging her followers to vote for Harris, even posting pictures from a recent trip to Paris with the caption, “Paris was so FUN! It was hard to leave, but I had to come home to V.O.T.E. @kamalaharris For. President!!!!” She has consistently expressed admiration for Harris, praising her as an “intelligent, compassionate, well-spoken leader” in the past.

Madonna is not alone in her frustration over the election results. Several other celebrities, particularly women, have also spoken out in response to the outcome. Actress Christina Applegate tweeted in frustration, “Please unfollow me if you voted against female rights.” This sentiment is part of a broader movement among female celebrities who have shown support for Harris and expressed their opposition to Trump’s leadership, including high-profile figures like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Stevie Nicks, and Cardi B.

Trump’s victory marks a historic moment, as he became only the second president in U.S. history to serve non-consecutive terms. He secured over 300 electoral votes, well past the 270 needed to win, and his victory included winning all seven battleground states. His win also gave the Republican Party control of both the House and Senate. In his victory speech, Trump declared, “America’s future will be bigger, better, bolder, richer, safer and stronger than it has ever been before. God bless you and God bless America.”

For Madonna, the results have been difficult to digest, and she’s expressing her emotions in her usual unfiltered way, using her platform to vent her frustrations. It’s clear that she, along with many others, is deeply concerned about the direction of the country under Trump’s leadership.
