Today marks a special occasion as Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor celebrates her milestone 50th birthday. Her close friend, actor, and dancer Malaika Arora, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt birthday tribute.
Posting a delightful series of pictures featuring Karisma, her sister Kareena Kapoor, and friends Malaika and Amrita Arora, Malaika conveyed her warm wishes with the caption, “U make 50 look so effortless lolo @therealkarismakapoor …. Happy birthday …. We love u.”
Karisma Kapoor has captivated audiences with her performances in numerous hit films such as ‘Anari,’ ‘Andaz Apna Apna,’ ‘Raja Babu,’ ‘Coolie No. 1,’ ‘Saajan Chale Sasural,’ ‘Jeet,’ ‘Raja Hindustani,’ and ‘Dil To Pagal Hai.’ Her talent has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Filmfare Best Actress and Best Actress (Critics) awards for her roles in ‘Fiza’ and ‘Zubeidaa.’
Recently, Karisma was seen in the Netflix film ‘Murder Mubarak,’ alongside an ensemble cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra, Suhail Nayyar, and Tara Alisha Berry. Her next project is the upcoming series ‘Brown,’ directed by Abhinay Deo of ‘Delhi Belly’ fame. The Neo-noir series delves into the lives of its protagonists, Rita Brown, a suicidal alcoholic, and Arjun Sinha, a widower dealing with survivor’s guilt, as they confront an unstoppable serial killer. ‘Brown’ explores deep themes such as depression, irrelevance, addiction, corruption, and false appearances.
Additionally, Karisma is set to judge the fourth season of ‘India’s Best Dancer.’
Malaika Arora, known for her roles in films like ‘Kaante’ and ‘EMI,’ and for her iconic dance numbers including ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya,’ ‘Gur Naalo Ishq Mitha,’ ‘Maahi Ve,’ ‘Kaal Dhamaal,’ and ‘Munni Badnaam Hui,’ is also a prominent figure on television. She is a judge on ‘India’s Got Talent,’ and has judged and hosted ‘MTV Supermodel of the Year’ in 2019 and ‘India’s Best Dancer’ in 2020. Malaika was last seen judging the reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ alongside actor Arshad Warsi and choreographer Farah Khan.
