Fans eagerly awaiting updates on “Mirzapur” season 3 can finally celebrate as the much-anticipated trailer has been released. The action-packed preview showcases Guddu Pandit, played by Ali Fazal, fiercely striving to dominate Purvanchal. The trailer hints at his relentless pursuit of power, with actors Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, and Vijay Varma making notable appearances. The climax of the trailer features Pankaj Tripathi emerging from the shadows, vowing to reclaim his empire.

The show also stars Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Meghna Malik, and Manu Rishi Chadha. Created by Excel Media and Entertainment, this popular crime thriller is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer.

Discussing the upcoming season, Director and Executive Producer Gurmmeet Singh shared, “The first two seasons of Mirzapur revolutionized the crime thriller genre in India’s streaming space. With Mirzapur 3, we aim to elevate the narrative, delve deeper into the characters’ lives, and introduce new plot twists. We are incredibly excited for fans to witness the showdown for Mirzapur’s throne in the new season.”

Singh added, “The stakes are higher, and the canvas is broader. After a three-and-a-half-year hiatus, we, like our viewers, eagerly await the global premiere of Mirzapur 3 on Prime Video.”

Reflecting on the journey, actor Ali Fazal reminisced about the challenges of reprising his role as Guddu Pandit. “I don’t know what season 3 holds, but I know I have justified a graph for this particular boy who maintains his innocence despite the corruption around him. It has taken a lot out of me, and I will always cherish it,” he said.

Fazal elaborated on his preparation for the role, emphasizing the complexity and compassion required. “Playing Guddu requires understanding the traumas and madness he experiences. It’s been a challenge to step away from it and observe without judgment. I hope it brings some heart to the screen,” he added.

The new season of “Mirzapur” will premiere on Prime Video on July 5.
