As the country mourns the death of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, the Maharashtra government has declared a closed holiday on 7th February 2022. The Bombay High Court will also suspend all its judicial processes in the wake of the legendary singer’s demise.

Subordinate Courts in Maharashtra, South and North Goa, Dadara, Nagar Haveli & Diu, Daman & Silvassa shall remain closed on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to keep all its branches closed on Monday. ‘There will be no transactions & settlements in Government securities (primary and secondary), foreign exchange, money markets, and Rupee Interest Rate Derivatives,’ RBI directed.

Settlement of all outstanding transactions will accordingly get postponed to the next working day i.e., February 8, RBI added in a statement.
