October 20, 2024: Salman Khan made an emotional return to Bigg Boss 18 just days after the passing of his close friend, NCP leader Baba Siddique.
During a recent episode, Salman opened up about the difficult time he’s going through and how he struggled with the idea of coming back to the show. The actor admitted that he didn’t want to return but did so out of professional commitment.
He shared, “Aaj ki meri yeh feeling hai ki mujhe yahan aana hi nahi chahiye tha. But yeh ek commitment hai, isliye main yahan pe aaya hoon” (Today, I feel like I shouldn’t have come here, but it’s a commitment, so I came).
Salman’s raw emotions came to the surface during a conversation with contestant Shilpa Shirodkar, who was upset after a disagreement with Avinash Mishra. Shilpa had stopped eating, and Salman, in his usual caring yet firm manner, tried to counsel her. He made her reflect on how her daughter would feel if she refused to eat out of frustration. Salman advised her not to let emotions cloud her judgment in the game, saying, “Feeling se koi rishta aapka iss ghar mein hona hi nahi chahiye” (Feelings should not play a role in the game).
The actor then briefly opened up about his own emotional struggles, stating, “What all I’m going through in my life, and I have to come and handle this.” His candid admission highlighted the personal toll the recent events have taken on him.
Meanwhile, security has been increased at Salman’s residence after he received fresh death threats demanding an extortion payment of Rs 5 crore. This incident comes in the wake of Baba Siddique’s tragic murder on October 12, adding to the difficult circumstances Salman is currently navigating. Despite these challenges, the superstar remains committed to his work and continues to host Bigg Boss 18.
