62,000 Prasad Boxes Sent from Lucknow to Ayodhya for Ram Darbar Pran Pratishtha Ceremony

As Ayodhya prepares for the grand Pran Pratishtha of Ram Darbar at Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, massive devotional efforts unfold—featuring thousands of prasad boxes, sculptural devotion, Kalash Yatras, and policy changes.

Lucknow, June 4:
In a significant devotional gesture marking the sacred Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Darbar at Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, 62,000 boxes of prasad are being dispatched from Lucknow to Ayodhya. This large-scale offering is part of the grand spiritual celebrations that have gripped the holy city.

Kshitij Gupta, Marketing Head of Chhappan Bhog, confirmed the development:

“We are very grateful to have received this opportunity to send prasad to Ayodhya. We have made Barfi with a mixture of chickpeas and moong dal. A total of 62,000 boxes of prasad are being sent from Lucknow for the Ram Darbar Pran Pratishtha at the Ram Mandir. We are sending 20,000 packets daily.”

The spiritual grandeur is also reflected in the sculptural work that has gone into the Ram Darbar idols. Satyanarayan, the sculptor of the divine ensemble, shared his deeply emotional experience:

“I do not have words to express. It is only when God showers his blessings that such events take place. Lord Hanuman has blessed us and provided me with this opportunity. It was not a work; it was a service. It took me seven months to make the idol.”

He added:

“I used to pray to Lord Hanuman that I want to get the opportunity to serve Lord Ram. Lord Hanuman has fulfilled my wish.”

Ayodhya has transformed into a spectacle of divine energy with colourful lights and devotional fervour as pilgrims and devotees arrive for the historic moment. The Pran Pratishtha rituals for Ram Darbar, being held on the first floor of the temple, began at 6:30 AM on Tuesday and will continue until June 5.

As part of the lead-up to the ceremony, a Kalash Yatra was organised on the banks of the Saryu River. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra shared visuals on social media, noting the presence of revered saints, acharyas, trustees, and throngs of devotees participating in the sacred procession.

“Ahead of the Pran Pratishtha karyakram at the eight devalay inside Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex, a sacred Kalash Yatra was organised today from the holy banks of the Sarayu river,” the Trust posted on X.

Adding to the significance, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to visit Ayodhya on June 5 for the Saryu Jayanti Janmotsav celebrations, as per Mahant Rajkumar Das Maharaj, head of Shriramvallabhkunj. The festivities will be organised by the Anjaneya Sewa Trust and run until June 11, featuring a week of devotional events, rituals, and spiritual discourses.

In parallel with spiritual preparations, civic authorities have moved to preserve the sanctity of the city. Following complaints during CM Yogi’s Janata Darbar, Ayodhya administration began cracking down on meat sales along religious paths including Ram Path and Dharma 14 Kosi Marg.

Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi also confirmed that discussions around banning liquor sales have gained momentum.

“It was under discussion for a very long time that the sale of meat be banned in Ayodhya. It was decided that the sale of meat must be prohibited on Ram Path,” Tripathi stated.
“We are sure that we will soon ban liquor sale too,” he added.

The culmination of these religious, cultural, and administrative efforts is set to mark a spiritually momentous chapter in Ayodhya’s modern history, as the city prepares to witness another milestone at the Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir.
