September 19, 2025: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has won the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections by a wide margin, taking three of the four top spots. The ABVP’s Aryan Maan was chosen as president, and the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) got the only vice president job.
The results of the much-anticipated election were made public on September 19, 2025, and they showed that ABVP had a lot of power on campus. Aryan Maan, the party’s presidential candidate, won by a wide margin with 28,841 votes. His nearest challenger, Joslyn Nandita Chaudhary of the NSUI, got only 12,645 votes.
The ABVP also won the seats of Secretary and Joint Secretary. Kunal Chaudhary got 23,779 votes and won the Secretary post. Deepika Jha got 21,825 votes and won the Joint Secretary post.
The NSUI won the Vice President seat, which stopped ABVP’s perfect sweep. Rahul Jhansla of the NSUI beat Govind Tanwar of the ABVP by a wide margin, getting 29,339 votes to Tanwar’s 20,547.
The results show that the two main student groups are in a close race, with the ABVP gaining strength in the DUSU. The new DUSU body is intended to actively advocate student interests in university matters during the next year.
