All You Need to Know About Ayodhya Ram Temple 'Pran Pratishtha' Ceremony Phase 2- That Begins Today
June-3, 2025: Ayodhya is all set for the second phase of the ‘pran pratishtha’ (consecration) ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, beginning today, June 3. The three-day event, culminating on June 5, is marked by elaborate rituals and heightened security.
The grand Kalash Yatra, which set the tone for the festivities, was flagged off from the banks of the Saryu River on Monday evening. The procession wove through Veena Chowk, Ram Path, Singar Haat and Rang Mahal Barrier before reaching the temple complex.

Officials have placed Ayodhya on high alert, deploying ATS commandos, armoured vehicles and surveillance teams in three shifts. The entire temple complex has been declared a red zone to ensure the safety of devotees and dignitaries.
Elaborate Rituals and Strict Security
From June 3-4, priests will conduct fire offerings while chanting 1,975 mantras. The program includes recitations of the Ram Raksha Stotra and Hanuman Chalisa from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. The main event — the consecration of idols of Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman, and six other temples within the complex — will take place on June 5, coinciding with Ganga Dussehra.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to attend four major events, including the main consecration, the Saryu Trayodashi Utsav, and the birthday celebrations of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust president Mahant Nritya Gopal Das.
Public Advisory
Champat Rai, secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, urged the public not to flock to Ayodhya solely based on media reports. He clarified that no public invitations have been issued for the rituals. While the temple remains open for ‘darshan’ of Ram Lalla, the first-floor Ram Darbar and other temples are still under construction.

District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde assured that extensive arrangements have been made for visitors — shaded waiting areas, drinking water, sanitation, ORS sachets, and emergency medical facilities have all been provided.
Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Grover said multiple site inspections have been conducted and security has been fortified at all levels. Special Task Force (STF) and ATS personnel are also deployed to maintain law and order.
A similar three-day event was held in January to mark the first anniversary of the original ‘pran pratishtha’ performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. That event drew lakhs of devotees, and another large turnout is expected this week.
