A political controversy erupted in Delhi after Arvind Kejriwal accused Bharatiya Janata Party workers of obstructing his visit to a grieving family in Palam that lost nine members in a fire.

Kejriwal claimed BJP supporters created chaos, misbehaved with AAP leaders, and even threw chairs, preventing them from meeting the victims’ family.

Kejriwal also raised serious questions over the handling of the fire, alleging delays and malfunctioning equipment worsened the tragedy.

He demanded a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire and the failure of fire brigade machinery. Saurabh Bharadwaj echoed these concerns, claiming that non-functional ladders could have cost lives and accusing BJP leaders of deflecting blame.
