Residents of Delhi and Gurugram quickly took to social media to report the tremors, which came just a day after a stronger 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck the same region on Thursday morning.
Thursday’s quake originated three kilometres northeast of Jhajjar and 51 km west of Delhi, also at a depth of 10 km, and was felt across large parts of NCR including Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Rohtak, Panipat, Hisar, and Gurugram.
Earlier this year, on February 17, a 4.0 magnitude quake was recorded in the region, causing early morning panic as residents felt strong jolts at 5:36 am.
