Barmer Erupts in Joy as Operation Sindoor Aims at Terror Hotspots in Pakistan and PoK

Locals from Rajasthan’s border town praise Indian Armed Forces for avenging Pahalgam terror victims; MoD to reveal more details in official briefing

Barmer (Rajasthan), May 7:
As news broke of India’s precision strikes deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) under Operation Sindoor, residents of the border town of Barmer, Rajasthan, expressed overwhelming pride and support for the Indian Armed Forces.

The multi-pronged military action, targeting nine terror hubs, aimed to neutralize top leadership of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) — both accused of orchestrating deadly terrorist attacks in India, including the Pahalgam massacre.

Locals in Barmer, a city that has often felt the pulse of cross-border tensions, woke up to the news with a sense of patriotic vindication.

Bhagirath Gosai, a Barmer resident, said, “When I woke up today and got this information, I was extremely happy. It was important to teach the terrorists a lesson for killing Hindus by asking their religion in Pahalgam. This is justice.”

Shakoor Khan, another resident, echoed the sentiment: “I am very happy that we have taken revenge. We stand with the Indian Army. We are ready to fight for India. I feel very proud.”

The operation was meticulously planned and executed, with PM Narendra Modi monitoring developments throughout the night. According to the Ministry of Defence, Operation Sindoor is India’s most significant cross-border military action since the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held urgent discussions with the chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force to review the ongoing situation. The MoD has scheduled a press briefing at 10:00 AM today to share more details about the mission’s scope and outcomes.

According to defence sources, the strikes were conducted using precision-guided munitions, drones, and coordinated surveillance, and all targets were successfully neutralized.

“A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed,” the Ministry stated.

As India sends a firm message with strategic restraint, support from citizens across the nation continues to pour in, with Barmer standing as a symbol of unity and pride in India’s military might.
