Beer Bottles Fly, Chaos Erupts in South Delhi Bar Over DJ’s Song Choice-Watch

A dispute over music turns violent at Mehrauli nightclub; viral video shows beer bottles hurled, punches exchanged as onlookers watch helplessly

A violent brawl broke out at a popular bar in South Delhi’s Mehrauli area on Sunday night (March 24), allegedly triggered by a disagreement over the DJ’s song selection. The disturbing incident was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media, sparking concern over nightlife safety and club security.

According to eyewitness Dhruv, who posted the video on X (formerly Twitter), the altercation began when a group of 4-5 men accompanied by women approached the DJ to complain about the music being played. Tensions flared when the DJ’s girlfriend intervened, leading to a minor physical altercation that rapidly escalated.

“One guy slightly pushed the DJ’s girlfriend. Then came the shouting, pushing, and finally, someone slapped the DJ. That’s when all hell broke loose,” Dhruv wrote.

The DJ allegedly retaliated by hurling beer bottles, glasses, and plates at the group, with one glass reportedly smashed over a man’s head. The video shows drinks flying, punches being thrown, and guests ducking for cover while the bar staff stood by helplessly.

Despite the intensity of the violence, police were only informed after the group fled the scene.

Online Outrage and Security Concerns

Netizens were quick to condemn the behavior. “No respect for law and order,” wrote one user, while another added, “Money doesn’t buy class.” Several questioned the club’s security arrangements and criticized the delay in police response.

The Delhi Police have yet to release an official statement regarding arrests or investigation status.
