June 22, 2025: In a major breakthrough in the investigation into the Pahalgam terror attack, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two individuals for allegedly sheltering the Pakistani terrorists involved in the deadly assault. The attack, carried out on April 22, 2025, had left 26 innocent Indian civilians dead and dozens injured, shocking the nation and triggering widespread condemnation.

According to NIA sources, the three terrorists who carried out the attack were confirmed to be Pakistani nationals affiliated with the banned terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). The agency’s probe revealed that they had received local logistical support—aiding their infiltration, movement, and the execution of the coordinated attack in the tourist-heavy region of Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

The two arrested individuals, whose names have not yet been disclosed officially, are believed to have provided hideouts, supplies, and surveillance intelligence to the terrorists in the days leading up to the massacre. Investigators are now probing the extent of their involvement and whether they had any connections to broader terror recruitment or facilitation networks in the Kashmir Valley.

This marks a significant development in the ongoing anti-terror operation in the region, especially in the aftermath of India’s Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror camps across the border in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in retaliation for the Pahalgam attack.

The NIA is expected to produce the accused before a special court, where charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and other relevant provisions are likely to be filed. More arrests are expected in the coming days as the crackdown on cross-border terror networks continues.
