BJP returns to power in Delhi after 26 years; suspense grows over the Chief Minister’s identity.

February 10, 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a historic comeback in Delhi after a 26-year hiatus, clinching 48 out of 70 assembly seats—an astonishing leap from their previous tally of 8 in 2020. Meanwhile, the Congress failed to open its account for the third consecutive election.

No ‘Sheesh Mahal’ for New Chief Minister

Sources revealed that the incoming BJP Chief Minister will not reside at the controversial ‘Sheesh Mahal,’ the Flagstaff Road bungalow in Civil Lines, which served as the official residence of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal. The term ‘Sheesh Mahal,’ used by the BJP, was a pointed reference to alleged irregularities in the renovation of the bungalow during Kejriwal’s tenure.
