Police, bomb squads conduct checks after multiple institutions receive emails

February 13, 2026: Several schools in Delhi received bomb threat messages on Friday, prompting swift action from authorities. Delhi Police teams rushed to the affected campuses, including BT Tamil School in Jhandewalan, SPV School and The British School, and initiated safety protocols and verification measures. No untoward incidents were immediately reported as security checks were carried out.

Earlier this month, nine schools across the national capital were similarly targeted through threatening emails. According to the Delhi Fire Service, the first alert was received at 8:33 am, after which fire tenders and bomb disposal squads were dispatched. Schools that received threats included Loreto Convent School in Delhi Cantonment, Cambridge School in Srinivaspuri and New Friends Colony, Venkateshwar School and other institutions in Rohini, The Indian School in Sadiq Nagar, and DTA School in INA.

Officials said some of the emails contained provocative messages, including references to “Delhi will become Khalistan” and mentions of Afzal Guru. Authorities have launched investigations to trace the source of the threats, while ensuring heightened security and coordination with school administrations to safeguard students and staff.
