CBSE Dismisses Paper Leak Claims, Warns of Action Against Misinformation

The board urges students and parents to ignore unverified information and assures strict monitoring to ensure a fair examination process.

February 17, 2025: CBSE Rejects Paper Leak Allegations, Warns of Legal Action

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has strongly refuted claims of a board exam paper leak for 2025, calling them “baseless and intended to create unnecessary panic among students and parents.” The board is actively monitoring social media platforms and taking legal action against those spreading false information.

In an official statement, CBSE emphasized that it has implemented comprehensive security measures to ensure a smooth and fair examination process for the 44 lakh students appearing for Class 10 and 12 exams across 8,000 schools in India and abroad. The exams, which began on February 15, will continue until April 4, 2025.

Strict Monitoring & Legal Consequences for Misinformation

CBSE has cautioned students against engaging in any activity related to paper leaks or the unauthorized sharing of exam-related content on YouTube, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and other social media platforms.

“The Board is working closely with law enforcement agencies to identify and prosecute these offenders. Students found involved in such activities will face severe consequences under CBSE’s UNFAIR MEANS (UFM) rules and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC),” the statement read.

According to CBSE regulations, students found guilty of sharing or spreading false exam information may face the cancellation of their current exam and all subjects for the next three years.

CBSE’s Advisory to Students, Parents & Schools

CBSE has urged students, parents, and schools to rely only on official communications through its website (www.cbse.gov.in) and verified channels for authentic updates.

“The public is advised to remain cautious of unverified news during the ongoing examinations. CBSE will pursue legal action against anyone responsible for spreading misinformation to uphold the integrity of the examination process,” the board added.

Parents have also been advised to guide their children not to believe or engage in unverified information to prevent disruptions in the examination process.

CBSE Board Exam 2025: Ongoing Security Measures

CBSE has tightened security measures to prevent malpractices, including:
CCTV surveillance at exam centers
Strict dress code for students and staff
Ban on electronic devices inside exam halls
Severe penalties for unfair means practices (UFM)

As the board exams continue, CBSE reassures students that no leaks have occurred, urging them to focus on their studies and avoid falling for misinformation.
