
Centre Finalises Padma Honours List
45 individuals from diverse fields set to receive Padma awards; environmentalist Mohan Nagar
January 25, 2026: The Centre has finalised the list of Padma honours for 45 individuals from across the country, recognising their long-standing contributions to social service, arts, education, agriculture and community welfare, sources said. The awards aim to acknowledge individuals who have dedicated decades to serving society at the grassroots level as well as in specialised fields.
According to sources, noted environmentalist Mohan Nagar from Madhya Pradesh will be conferred the Padma Shri in 2026. The list of awardees reflects a wide regional and professional diversity, with names drawn from different parts of India and representing varied domains, including folk arts, social reform, environmental conservation and public service.
Among those named in the list are Anke Gowda, Armida Fernandez, Bhagwandas Raikwar, Budhri Tati, Charan Hembram, Kollakkayil Devaki Amma G, Mahendra Kumar Mishra, Mohan Nagar, Raghuveer Tukaram Khedkar, Rama Reddy Mamidi, Simanchal Patro, Techi Gubin and Yumnam Jatra Singh, among others. The honours recognise sustained and selfless service that has made a lasting impact on communities nationwide.
