Police seek custodial remand of Shivam Mishra; judge questions basis of arrest

February 12, 2026: The court hearing in the high-profile Lamborghini case concluded after nearly 35–40 minutes, with police seeking custodial remand of accused Shivam Mishra. The court has reserved its order, and a decision on the remand plea is expected shortly. During the proceedings, the Investigating Officer and government counsel presented arguments in support of custody, while the defense strongly opposed the plea.

The judge raised pointed questions regarding the circumstances of Mishra’s arrest and asked police to clarify the specific provisions under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) invoked in the case.
