A Statesman Remembered

Dr. Manmohan Singh, known as the architect of India’s economic reforms, passed away due to age-related health conditions. He experienced a sudden loss of consciousness at his home and was rushed to AIIMS Delhi, where he was declared dead despite resuscitative measures.

“With profound grief, we inform the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, aged 92. Despite all efforts, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 9:51 PM,” AIIMS stated.

A Legacy of Leadership

Born in Punjab in 1932, Dr. Singh served as India’s Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014. His tenure is marked by transformative economic policies, inclusive growth, and pivotal international agreements, including the Indo-US Nuclear Deal.

He retired from the Rajya Sabha earlier this year after serving for 33 years in the Upper House of Parliament.

The cricketing community, along with political leaders and citizens, continues to mourn the loss of a leader whose contributions shaped modern India’s economic landscape. As tributes pour in, Dr. Manmohan Singh’s legacy remains etched in the hearts of millions.
