Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Issues Fresh Death Threat to Salman Khan

Mumbai, November 5, 2024: Mumbai Police have received yet another threatening message aimed at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, allegedly sent by associates of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The message, delivered to the Mumbai Police traffic control room via WhatsApp, warned the actor to either apologize or pay Rs 5 crore if he “wants to stay alive.”

The message, attributed to Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, read, “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should visit our temple and apologize or give Rs 5 crore.” It went on to threaten, “If he does not do so, we will kill him; our gang is still active.”

Police stated that the message was received late on Monday and have initiated an investigation. Efforts are underway at Worli Police Station to trace the origin of the number from which the message was sent.

This marks the second death threat Khan has received within a week. The previous threat, also received by Mumbai Police Traffic Control, demanded a ransom of Rs 2 crore, with the sender threatening to harm Khan if the ransom went unpaid. According to Mumbai Police, “The message sender demanded 2 crore rupees and warned of severe consequences if the amount wasn’t paid.”

Following that incident, police reported the threat to Worli Police Station, who promptly registered a case and began tracking the sender. The frequency of these threats against Khan has raised significant concerns, and authorities have increased vigilance around the actor’s security.

Only days earlier, on October 24, a man from Jamshedpur was arrested by Mumbai Police for sending a similar threat message to Salman Khan, demanding Rs 5 crore and invoking the name of Lawrence Bishnoi. After receiving this message, Mumbai Traffic Police reported the matter to Worli Police, who launched an investigation.

The first in this series of threats occurred on October 18, when a message targeting Khan was mistakenly sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police control room. The sender later apologized, claiming it was a “mistake.” This incident follows the recent murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique on October 12, who was shot dead by three assailants in Mumbai’s Nirmal Nagar area, adding to the tension surrounding high-profile figures in the region.
