February 8, 2025: Delhi’s political future hangs in the balance as the results of the 2025 Assembly elections are set to be unveiled today. The city witnessed an intense electoral battle on February 5, with over 15 million voters casting their votes across 70 constituencies.

The incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), led by Arvind Kejriwal, is seeking a third consecutive term, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) aims to break a nearly three-decade-long dry spell in the capital. Meanwhile, the Congress party is striving to make a comeback after its last win in 2013.
Despite a moderate voter turnout of 60.42%, exit polls predict a tough fight, with some favoring the BJP to secure a majority and others projecting a narrow win for AAP. Congress remains an underdog, though it hopes to win a few key seats.
Key constituencies like New Delhi, Kalkaji, and Jangpura are at the center of attention, featuring prominent candidates such as Arvind Kejriwal (AAP), Parvesh Verma (BJP), and Alka Lamba (Congress).
Vote counting began at 8 am today across 19 centers, with stringent three-tier security arrangements in place. Early trends are expected by 9:30 am, with a clearer picture emerging by 1 pm.
As the political landscape of Delhi awaits clarity, all eyes are on the results to determine whether AAP’s dominance continues or BJP stages a resurgence.
