Delhi Exit Polls: BJP Poised for Victory, AAP Faces Major Setback
February 5, 2025: Exit polls for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections project a major comeback for the BJP, potentially ending the AAP’s stronghold in the national capital. Of the 70 Assembly seats, with the majority set at 36, predictions favor a decisive edge for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s party.
According to Peoples’ Pulse and Peoples’ Insight, the BJP is expected to win between 51 and 60 seats and 40 to 44 seats, respectively, showcasing a dominant performance. On the other hand, Matrize has forecasted a tighter contest, with the BJP securing between 35 and 40 seats. Even in this scenario, the BJP is poised to cross the majority mark.
The results are set to be declared on Saturday, potentially marking a major political shift in the Delhi Assembly, which has been under AAP’s rule.
