Delhi Paharganj Building Collapse: 3 Dead After Under-Construction Basement Wall Gives Way

Rescue operations continue near Krishna Hotel on Ara Kansa Road; fire officials confirm all three trapped victims have died.

New Delhi | May 17, 2025 — A tragic incident struck the heart of Delhi’s Paharganj area on Saturday evening, as the side wall of an under-construction basement collapsed near Krishna Hotel on Ara Kansa Road, resulting in the deaths of three individuals.

Rescue teams, including four fire tenders, were rushed to the site immediately after the collapse. According to officials, three people were initially trapped under the debris. Despite being rescued, all three succumbed to their injuries, authorities confirmed.

Dramatic visuals from the scene show emergency workers digging through rubble as anxious onlookers gathered nearby. Rescue operations are still underway as teams work to ensure no one else is trapped.
