The Capital of the 5th Largest Economy Brought to its Knees After One Pre-Monsoon Shower

The Capital of the 5th largest economy of the world is submerged after one pre-monsoon shower!

Chaos, confusion and huge traffic jams are being reported from all over the city!

There is an almost 10 km. long jam when you come from Noida to Delhi via DND. This is because of the closure of the Lajpat Nagar underpass.

The Hauz Khaz area too is submerged under water with over 21/2 to 3 feet water logging in several areas.

A tree has fallen near the Chor Monar area resulting in road closure there.

A truck has overturned on the outer ring road near IIT Delhi due to road caving at the start of the flyover.

The road connecting the UER-II to NH-8 was also washed away in portions and that was being mended with the help of cranes at 8AM today.

The usual submersion at the ITO under-bridge has also been witnessed.

What is the Delhi Municipal Corporation and Delhi Govt. doing even though the regular water logging areas were identified months in advance.

If this is a glimpse of things to come God Help Us!
