“Divide Pakistan, Merge PoK with India”: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s Strong Response to Pahalgam Attack

In a powerful address during a candlelight march, CM Revanth Reddy calls for decisive action against Pakistan and the integration of PoK with India following the Pahalgam terror attack.

Hyderabad, April 26:
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday issued a strong statement during a candlelight march in Hyderabad, calling for the division of Pakistan and the merger of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) with India. The march, organized as a tribute to the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, also saw the participation of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and gathered hundreds in solidarity against terrorism.

Addressing the crowd, Reddy said, “We urge the Centre to move forward, and we, the 140 crore Indians, will stand with you. Divide Pakistan into two parts and merge PoK with India—we are all with you. This is not the time for politics.”

Condemning the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 people, including 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali tourist, Reddy emphasized national unity and the need for a forceful response. “Now is the time to respond strongly,” he declared, stressing that the attack had deeply affected people across the country.

Highlighting global support, Reddy said, “From Telangana, 4 crore people stand united, along with representatives from over 100 countries, in the fight against terrorism. We will support our Prime Minister in this mission.”

He also invoked India’s historical military responses under former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. “In 1967, Indira Ji responded to Chinese aggression. In 1971, she split Pakistan to create Bangladesh. We must follow that decisive example today,” he asserted.

Reddy concluded by calling for the end of negotiations and the beginning of firm retaliation. “The time for talk is over. It’s time to strike back.”

The comments come in the aftermath of one of the deadliest terror incidents in Kashmir since the 2019 Pulwama attack, and the most severe since Article 370 was abrogated. The Pahalgam attack has reignited nationwide calls for tough action against terrorism and for reasserting India’s claim over PoK.
