Security forces release image of four terrorists behind deadly Pahalgam massacre that killed 26 tourists; PM Modi returns to India, vows justice.

Security agencies have released a photograph of four terrorists responsible for the brutal attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam on Tuesday, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent tourists. Officials confirmed that all four men are affiliated with the banned Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), and at least two are believed to be foreign nationals.
The Resistance Front (TRF), a known proxy of LeT, has taken responsibility for the attack, which sent shockwaves across the nation. In response, security forces have launched a high-intensity manhunt across the Valley, determined to dismantle the terror network behind the bloodshed.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Kashmir early this morning to assess the situation. He met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. “With a heavy heart, paid last respects to the deceased of the Pahalgam terror attack. Bharat will not bend to terror. The culprits will not be spared,” Shah wrote on X.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a diplomatic visit to Saudi Arabia, cut short his trip and returned to India. In a strongly-worded statement, he condemned the assault:
“Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice… Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable and it will get even stronger.”
Eyewitnesses and survivors have given chilling accounts, stating that the terrorists asked victims about their religion before opening fire, indiscriminately killing several men. Bodies of the deceased are being flown back to their respective hometowns, while the Ministry of Civil Aviation has directed airlines to cap fares to ensure stranded tourists can return safely.
Meanwhile, major metro cities including Delhi and Mumbai have been placed on high alert to prevent any further escalation.
