Global Condemnation Pours In After Pahalgam Kashmir Attack Kills 26 Tourists
New Delhi | April 23, 2025:
The world stood united in grief and outrage as news broke of a devastating terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, where 26 people, including several tourists and an intelligence officer, were brutally killed. The assailants, reportedly from Pakistan-based terror outfit The Resistance Front, opened indiscriminate fire on civilians in Baisaran Valley before vanishing into the forested terrain.
The victims, many of whom were honeymooners and families visiting Kashmir, were caught completely off-guard during what was supposed to be a peaceful holiday. Eyewitnesses reported a sudden burst of gunfire and chaos as terrorists emerged from the woods and targeted civilians at close range.
As India reeled from one of the worst terror attacks in the region in recent years, international leaders swiftly condemned the brutality and pledged support to India in its fight against terrorism.
US President Donald Trump posted on X:
“Deeply disturbing news out of Kashmir. The United States stands strong with India against terrorism. Our hearts are with Prime Minister Modi and the incredible people of India.”
US Vice President JD Vance, currently on a visit to India, also responded:

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar wrote:

Italian PM Giorgia Meloni stated:

Iran issued a statement offering “heartfelt condolences to the people and government of India” and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Sri Lanka said it “strongly condemns the heinous attack,” reaffirming its commitment to regional peace and its unwavering solidarity with India.
