Heavy monsoon rains have battered Himachal Pradesh, leaving a trail of destruction with at least 37 confirmed deaths, massive property loss exceeding ₹400 crore, and dozens still missing, especially in Mandi district. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fresh alert, predicting continued downpours till July 7.

Swollen rivers, blocked highways, power outages, and washed-out infrastructure have paralyzed the hill state, prompting the State Disaster Management Authority to mobilize extensive search, rescue, and restoration operations.
Why has there been no inquiry or action from the Himachal Government on this shocking incident of massive tree cutting? The video clearly shows wood piles being swept away in the floods — a direct result of illegal logging by the timber mafia.
