Holi Festivities in Uttar Pradesh: Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak Joins Celebrations on Camelback
Lucknow, March 14: The festival of colors, Holi, was celebrated with great enthusiasm across Uttar Pradesh, with Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak making a grand entry on a camel to join the festivities. Visuals from the celebrations showed him greeting people, engaging with the crowd, and embracing the spirit of unity and joy.
Several BJP leaders also participated, marking the festival with music, dance, and camaraderie, highlighting the cultural and social significance of Holi.
Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak extended his warm wishes to the people of Uttar Pradesh, emphasizing the harmony prevailing across the state during the celebrations.
🗣️ “I extend my best wishes to all on the occasion of Holi, which is being celebrated with great enthusiasm. It is also the month of Ramzan. We are all celebrating the festivals together, and everything is peaceful in Uttar Pradesh,” Pathak said.
His remarks underscored the state government’s efforts in maintaining law and order while allowing people to celebrate freely.
Uttar Pradesh’s other Deputy CM, Keshav Prasad Maurya, also extended his Holi greetings, but not without taking a dig at the Opposition.
🗣️ “There is no tension in the state, except in the minds of the Opposition. I extend my greetings to them as well. Holi and Friday prayers will be celebrated peacefully. The only person worried is Akhilesh Yadav. I invite him too, to have some gujiya today!” Maurya quipped.
His remarks reflect the ongoing political tussle between BJP and Samajwadi Party, even during the festival.
Holi, known as the festival of colors, is a time of joy, unity, and the arrival of spring. Across temples, streets, and homes, people celebrated by smearing gulaal (colored powder) on each other, singing folk songs, and dancing to festive beats.
🔸 The festival signifies the victory of good over evil
🔸 It strengthens social bonds and promotes harmony
🔸 People from different faiths and backgrounds come together in celebration
From Mathura’s legendary Lathmar Holi to Lucknow’s vibrant street celebrations, Uttar Pradesh witnessed a colorful spectacle of tradition and unity.
To ensure a safe and joyful Holi, the state administration deployed additional security forces in sensitive areas. Patrolling, drone surveillance, and public announcements were carried out to maintain law and order.
Deputy CM Pathak’s reassurance of peace and harmony reflects the government’s efforts in allowing festivities to proceed smoothly while maintaining security.
