In the viral video, Manika Pahwa can be heard accusing Puneet of ruining her life, stating, “I will go to your locality and create a scene. They keep crying on the phone.” The argument reportedly revolved around their joint business, ‘For God’s Cake’, and financial disputes linked to their ongoing divorce proceedings.

Puneet’s family has alleged that Manika made financial demands, including ₹70,000 per month and lawyer fees, to settle the divorce. They also claim that she threatened to implicate Puneet and his family in false legal cases if her demands were unmet.
Puneet’s mother said, “He kept swallowing his grief. My son was doing well, but she tortured him so much yesterday that he took this step.”
Days before Puneet’s suicide, Manika Pahwa posted a cryptic message on social media, claiming she had been subjected to “toxicity and narcissistic abuse” and expressed relief at being free.
Puneet’s phone, containing the recorded video and conversations, is now with the Delhi Police, who are investigating the case.
The tragic case mirrors the recent suicide of techie Atul Subhash in Bengaluru, who also cited harassment by his wife and in-laws in a 24-page suicide note. Following Subhash’s death, his wife and her family members were arrested.
These incidents highlight the increasing need for mental health awareness, especially in cases involving emotional abuse and financial disputes in marital relationships.
