June 25, 2025 – The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Delhi today and forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall across multiple Indian states until June 30, as the monsoon system strengthens nationwide. The national capital is expected to see monsoon arrival by Thursday, June 26, with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms likely through the week.

Delhi-NCR: Yellow alert in effect today; monsoon expected by Thursday.
Surat, Gujarat: Waterlogging, school shutdowns reported.
Nashik, Maharashtra: Overflowing Godavari submerges roads.
Kerala: Continuous rain lashes coastal and hilly areas.
