It Was YouTuber Mridul Tiwari’s Who's Lamborghini Ran Over Two in Noida; Car Was Out on Test Drive, Say Police
March 31, 2025: A red Lamborghini registered to popular YouTuber Mridul Tiwari ran over two pedestrians in Noida on Sunday, in a crash that has now gone viral and stirred controversy.
The accident occurred near the Charkha roundabout in Sector 94 around 5 PM, where two labourers from Chhattisgarh were sitting on the footpath. The luxury sports car, reportedly being driven at high speed, lost control and rammed into them.
Fortunately, the injured victims are out of danger but sustained fractures in their legs. They were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, according to Noida ADCP Sumit Shukla.
The Lamborghini was not being driven by Mridul Tiwari at the time of the crash. Police revealed it was under the control of Deepak Kumar, a car dealer from Ajmer, Rajasthan, who was test-driving the vehicle ahead of a potential purchase.
“Mridul Tiwari, 24, a Greater Noida-based YouTuber with over 18 million subscribers, was planning to sell the vehicle,” the ADCP told reporters.
During police interrogation, Deepak claimed the car had a technical fault that led to the crash. A video from the scene shows him asking locals, “Koi mar gaya idhar?” as he steps out of the vehicle, sparking further outrage online.
Mridul Tiwari, known by his channel name ‘The MriDul’, is one of India’s most-followed content creators. He began his YouTube journey in 2018 with the video Sister vs Girlfriend, and by 2020 had already crossed 1 million subscribers. His channel now boasts 1.8 crore (18 million+) subscribers, with videos often racking up millions of views.
On August 14, 2023, he made headlines for showcasing what he called the “World’s 1st Lamborghini with Jai Shree Ram” written on it — the same car involved in Sunday’s crash. Mridul also has over 3 million followers on Instagram and is widely known for his comedy content.
Police continue to investigate the incident and the technical condition of the car. Authorities are also examining whether the vehicle was being driven recklessly or beyond permissible speed limits, with early speculation suggesting speeds as high as 300 kmph.
Swirling public reaction has sparked debates around social media influencer culture, luxury car misuse, and accountability in test drive scenarios.
