"Justice, Not Revenge": Army Releases New Operation Sindoor Video Amid Global Outreach Drive
New Delhi | May 18, 2025 —
The Indian Army has released a powerful new video of its precision strikes under Operation Sindoor, describing the military response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack as “justice, not revenge.”

Posted by the Army’s Western Command on social media platform X, the video features scenes of artillery shelling and missile strikes targeting Pakistani territory and terror launchpads across the border. A soldier’s voiceover declares, “It is not anger but a resolve to teach a lesson that will be remembered. This is justice, not revenge.”
The caption, “Planned, trained and executed”, underscores the methodical nature of the Indian response. According to the Army, all Pakistani posts involved in initiating fire were “decimated.”
Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7, just two weeks after the Pahalgam attack claimed 26 civilian lives, including 25 tourists. The operation targeted nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The offensive triggered four days of cross-border hostilities, culminating in a ceasefire agreement on May 10.
Amid speculation, the Army clarified on Sunday that no DGMO-level talks were scheduled, and the ceasefire remains in effect as agreed upon on May 12. “There is no expiry date to the pause in hostilities,” a Defence Ministry statement read, dispelling rumors of renewed tensions.
Coinciding with the military messaging, the Indian government has deployed seven high-level delegations to 32 countries and the EU headquarters in Brussels, tasked with articulating India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.
The delegations include 51 political leaders, cutting across party lines. Prominent figures such as Shashi Tharoor, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Baijayant Panda, Kanimozhi, and Supriya Sule will lead these missions, with support from retired diplomats.
This international outreach aims to counter Pakistan’s narrative and garner support for India’s position post-Operation Sindoor.
In a parallel move, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will lead a high-level delegation to present Pakistan’s perspective on “peace” at the global stage.

“I am honoured to accept this responsibility and remain committed to serving Pakistan in these challenging times,” Mr. Bhutto Zardari posted on X.
This diplomatic tussle follows India’s hardline stance that talks with Islamabad will only be centered on terrorism and that the Indus Waters Treaty remains suspended.
