“Kamal Nath Is In Trouble In Chhindwara”, Says BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India] : A senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Member of Parliament (MP) Ravi Shankar Prasad has taken a pot-shot at former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath saying he (Nath) is in trouble in Chhindwara in view of upcoming state assembly polls.

BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad made the remark while addressing a press conference in the state capital Bhopal on Friday.

“I went to Chhindwara yesterday. Kamal Nath is in trouble in Chhindwara. It would not be a surprise if he loses there in the upcoming state assembly polls. There is a campaign of desperation there, according to my observation,” Prasad said.

Meanwhile, speaking on the caste-based census, the BJP MP has also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi saying he does not do proper homework on the issue.

“Rahul Gandhi speaks on the caste-based census nowadays. Following him Congress leaders Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh are also speaking on the issue. Rahul Gandhi’s politics is when someone gives him a chit then he gets stuck on that issue. Earlier, he got the chit of Rafale, after that Savarkar and now Nitish Kumar has handed him the chit of caste-based census,” he said.

“I have said in the Lok Sabha that Rahul Gandhi does not do homework and I will say here again that he (RaGa) does not do homework. The census that happened in Bihar has many mistakes. The rights of the extremely backward people have been violated and secondly the number of extremely backward people have been reduced. For the first time in the country, Muslims have been considered forward, backward and extremely backward,” he added.

The BJP leader further said he was proud of his party. There were 80 BJP MPs of backward category.

“BJP has the most number of MLAs belonging to OBCs and an extremely backwards category. The Prime Minister himself is an OBC. Today, Droupadi Murmu is the first Adivasi President of India. Earlier, Ramnath Kovind was the President of India and he belonged to the Dalit community” the BJP leader added.

Madhya Pradesh is one of the five states set to undergo polls in one phase on November 17 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3. Voters will choose legislators from 230 Assembly constituencies.
