Helicopter carrying UP Deputy CM filled with smoke, lands safely at Lucknow Airport
March 7, 2026: The helicopter carrying Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, made an emergency landing at Lucknow Airport on Saturday after smoke was reported inside the aircraft, according to his office. The precautionary landing was carried out shortly after the issue was detected during the flight.
Officials said the helicopter had taken off from La Mart Ground in Lucknow and was heading to Kaushambi when smoke began filling the cabin. The pilot immediately decided to return and land at the airport to ensure the safety of all those on board.
