KVS Class 1 Admission Result 2026 OUT: Direct Link to Download Provisional Selection & Waiting Lists

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has officially released the first provisional selection list for Class 1 admissions for the 2026-27 academic session.

Parents who applied for their children can now access the lottery results on the official portal, admission.kvs.gov.in. While most states saw their results go live on April 9, the admission lists for Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry are scheduled for release tomorrow, April 10, 2026, due to local election schedules.

Securing a spot in the lottery is only the first step. Parents of selected candidates must now move quickly to complete admission formalities, which include document verification and fee payment.

The KVS has emphasized that failure to provide the necessary paperwork within the designated window will lead to the forfeiture of the seat, which will then be allocated to students on the waiting list. The second and third provisional lists are slated for release on April 16 and April 21, respectively, to fill any remaining vacancies.

In addition to Class 1, the KVS has also clarified the age criteria for its Balvatika (pre-primary) program. Children aged 3 to 4 are eligible for Balvatika-1, while Balvatika-2 and Balvatika-3 cater to those aged 4 to 5 and 5 to 6, respectively. Physical verification of documents—including birth certificates, residence proof, and category-specific certifications—will take place at the respective schools between April 15 and April 20, 2026.

2. Go to the “Admissions 2026-27” tab on the homepage.
3. Click on “Lottery Result 2026” or the specific link for Balvatika/Class 1.
4. Select your state and the specific school where you applied.
5. Download the PDF file and use the child’s registration number to search the list.
