French President concludes Mumbai visit after talks with PM Modi
February 18, 2026: Emmanuel Macron departed Mumbai for New Delhi on Wednesday after wrapping up his engagements in the city, including bilateral discussions with Narendra Modi. Macron, accompanied by First Lady Brigitte Macron, was seen off at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport by Acharya Devvrat, Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde.
During his Mumbai visit, Macron held talks with PM Modi aimed at strengthening India-France strategic ties. The French President and his wife also interacted with leading Indian filmmakers and actors, engaging in discussions on cinema, culture and potential collaborations between the two nations.
Macron is on a three-day official visit to India from February 17 to 19 at the invitation of PM Modi. He is scheduled to attend the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, where Modi will inaugurate the event on February 19. According to Electronics and IT Secretary S Krishnan, around 20 heads of state, including President Macron, are expected to participate in the inaugural session.
