Maha Kumbh 2025: Rudraksh Baba and Other Unique Seers Draw Devotees to Prayagraj

From Rudraksh Baba’s 11,000 rudraksh garlands to seers standing for years in penance, the Maha Kumbh showcases extraordinary faith and devotion.

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), January 6: With the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 just a week away, thousands of devotees, sages, and spiritual leaders from across India and around the world have started arriving in Prayagraj. This sacred gathering is becoming a canvas for stories of extraordinary devotion, penance, and faith.

Rudraksh Baba: The Man of 11,000 Rudraksh Beads

Among the notable figures at the Kumbh is Rudraksh Baba, a revered seer adorned with 108 rudraksh garlands, comprising over 11,000 beads weighing more than 30 kilograms. His unique spiritual identity has earned him widespread attention, both among devotees and on social media.

“People know me as Rudraksh Baba. These 11,000 rudras are blessings of Lord Shiva, and I have been wearing them for a long time. Many of these were gifted to me by my followers,” Rudraksh Baba told ANI.

He also praised the improved arrangements at this year’s Maha Kumbh, saying, “The facilities have definitely improved compared to the last time.”

Digambar Naga Baba: Five Years of One-Armed Penance

Another striking presence at the Kumbh is Digambar Naga Baba from Rajasthan, who has been standing with his right hand raised for five years in a unique act of devotion for the protection of Sanatan Dharma.

“I have kept my hand raised for five years as an offering for Sanatan Dharma and our country’s future. Sanatan Dharma has no beginning or end; it will last forever,” he said.

Khadeshwar Naga Baba: 12 Years Standing in Penance

Khadeshwar Naga Baba from Gujarat has spent 12 years standing continuously in penance, supported by a swing structure.

“I will keep standing as long as I am alive. My only message is to stop using polythene, as it is damaging our planet and health,” he appealed to the younger generation.

Other Unique Seers Add to the Spiritual Aura

Adding to the spiritual tapestry of the Maha Kumbh are other extraordinary seers:

  • Chhotu Baba, who is renowned for not taking a bath for 32 years.
  • Chabhi Wale Baba, known for carrying a 20-kilogram key as a symbol of his spiritual journey.
  • E-rickshaw Baba, who traveled all the way from Delhi to Prayagraj on an e-rickshaw.

As the Maha Kumbh gears up to welcome millions of devotees, these remarkable seers and their acts of devotion continue to inspire and draw awe, making the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 a profound spiritual and cultural experience.
